What is address standardization and why do we do it?

The Apply Texas application attempts to standardize U. S. permanent and physical addresses for use by Apply Texas institutions. Standardization of addresses helps make an address ?deliverable? for the U. S. Postal Service (USPS).

Standardizing an address means converting it to a format based on USPS standards.
